Day out (part 3 )

Finally the last of the photo's , of the cemetery it's a run down little place that needs so much love and care it's sort of sad really that head stones are falling over and there is no wording left on the really old ones and weeds have over grown but any way it was a interesting place to visit and take some photo's of  my great gran perants and there son whom passed at age 10 or 11 of a hole in his heart back in 1933  little Potty his nick name but his real name was Gordon I'm heading down there again real soon with some things to brighten up there resting places and do a touch of weeding thought it would be good to get the kids active in that to ..i thought the cancel would of made sure names didn't disappear from head stones i mean really how greedy and selfish are they I'm sure they could afford some funds to keep it looked after !! well that was my little whinge for the day !!!
GREAT GRANPERANTS!

LITTLE POTTY !

  1. That looks like a real old cemetery! Would be a good family project and clean it up and straighten those headstones. Such a shame that it got that bad.

  6. I love visiting cemeteries.I find them fascinating. (unless I'm at a burial of a loved one of course). Recently my 5 year old has started to notice them and is desperate to visit one.

  8. Hello Maa hope you come back and read this i can not get on to your blog it's saying invite only and it wouldnt let me message you either :-( it's been fine up untill the other day so not sure whats the matter .. and yeah we visited these 2 old towns in one day tho i would of loved more time there but heading back soon ,
and veggiegobbler i agree it's nice to spend time there when it's not to lay a loved one to rest , it's funny how our children tend to find places that we do intreasting couriouse little things but id rather them learning history out and about rather than growing up not learning the importance of old things and places :-) my children found it intresting looking around and reading the headstones , not my 3 year old she was just following lol
