Christmas preps

Hello friends , wow is it been busy around here I'm looking forward to the kids starting there summer holidays , we are very proud of our 12 year old she received an AWARD and a $50 gift card at her end of year Assembly so that was a special way to finish up grade 6.

Our precious 5 year old got her first trophy for Gymnastics's so that was special to!!

Christmas preps are coming along, we have just bakes Christmas cookies to take to break up Christmas party for our 5 year old at the Autism school were we go well its the early learning part there that we go to , as for school we have been approved to Home school for next year so we are pretty excited about that ..i have an assortment of photo's I'll up load , I'm hoping to be back to blog a post before Christmas, but if i don't , I hope you all have a wonderful safe Christmas with your loved ones, that is stress free simple, with lots of memories made, Blessings to you all xx

THE TREE IS UP

I want to thank those of you who commented on my last few post for your kind words and support it meant a lot to me xxx

Well today is the first day of summer , our tree's are up there was a lot of tears it was a struggle doing it but i know that is what mum wanted ...

Iv also been planting seedling in to the garden and with all this spring weather we have been having I'm sure they will thrive  ( fingers crossed )

the beetroot was all ready in but with all that has been going on the rest was delayed.

I have so many things i need -want and have to do but i just seem not to be motivated to do so i sit and stare in to space a lot of the time ( not healthy i know but just cant seem to shake it ) but i have promised my self that I'm going to try and start bye taking myself and molly out for a walk , followed bye one need-want or have to do thing and then cross it of my looooong list each day and hopefully with this warmer weather we can spend more time out doors that is enough to brighten any one's day huh <3

with lots of love,peace,and happiness ..Christmas eve has creep'd up so fast the kids are excited and very busy helping me get some baking and what not done ,I'm sure they will be extra excited tonight going off to bed ;-) and that's OK because under all that excitement they are very aware of the real reason for the season ..

CHRISTMAS PARADE'S

Christmas parade's we went to our local one Thursday night ,and just got back from a near bye country town one ,the children love going to see what floats are there i guess it gets you really in the Christmas spirit of things ,my favourite is seeing the older folks from the nursing homes it brings a tear to my eye every time bless them they do enjoy it ...

We have also been baking again though I'm thinking this is the last lot of cookie's that will be baked this side of Christmas .. we will be doing some more baking but just not cookie's , i can not believe it's only 1 more week to Christmas wow is this last few weeks flying bye so fast i still have quite a bit of stuff to do over the coming week but mainly just jobs out side and a good go through again in side so that there will be more time spent with family than having to think about what needs doing.

And tonight we harvest our first lettuce yay ..taste so much better than anything you buy ,I'm really looking forward for everything to be ready lol the zucchini's are flowering and have little ones growing on them it's all so exciting when it's your first time ever growing food :-)

My son used to play in this latrobe fedral band ,i missed him in there tonight :-(

CHRISTMAS COOKIE'S

                    HEY WHAT'S CHRISTMAS WITH OUT COOKIE'S !!

RECIPE

3 CUPS FLOUR

250G SOFT BUTTER

1 CUP SUGAR

1/2 CUP MILK

1TSP BI CARB SODA

BOIL SUGAR,AND MILK THEN REMOVE FROM HEAT AND ADD BI CARB SODA, LEAVE TO COOL, WHILE YOU RUB BUTTER IN TO FLOUR THEN ADD ENOUGH SYRUP TO MAKE A FIRM MOIST DOUGH ROLL OUT ON CLEAN SURFACE AND CUT OUT SHAPES ...BAKE AT 190C UNTIL LIGHTLY BROWN :-) SUCH A GOOD DOUGH SIMPLE AND EASY NO NEED TO REFRIGERATE OR ROLL OUT IN BETWEEN BAKING PAPER IT'S AWESOME!!

WHO"S BRIGHT IDEAR TO SWAP OVER CHRISTMAS TREE"S !!!

Silly me decided to swap the 7.5 foot family tree with the much smaller primitive country tree.. well half a day later my 3 year old little helper was making more mess than was helpful bless her we had stuff every where ..oh well never mind its done now only it looks a little on the bare side so i used some fabric to make some bows to fill in the gaps for now ,looks like i will be busy through out the year making a tone more :-) and how it's all done now so all good .... also iv been down checking on the lettuces to see how they are doing not sure how they are meant to be looking because this is our first year of growing veggies the zucchini's are growing flat out ,the capsicens are a little slow ,i guess i will just learn through trial and error ;-o  I'll post a few pictures maby some one who visits may know whether they are a winner or not ..lol ...and i have a cute tea towel from our 10 year olds school all the children drew a face and they were all put on to this tea towel ..what a beautiful thing for the children to look back on one day in the future..

little bit of christmas ...

Why i was doing a little shopping the other day i came across this cute Christmas book (The Twelfth Day Of Christmas ) at such a cheap price $7 that's it and it has so much colour and beautiful pictures in i love adding books to our collections more so Christmas ones,, also i have some thing a little bit special to blog about tomorrow i was to lazy to take photos tonight so i will do it in the morning lol ... today had me making some chocolate truffles yum i cut up liquorish assorts and put in to the mixture very good indeed !!

How is your Christmas preparations coming along it's all exciting this time of year so much fun stuff on ..but we should not lose sight of the real meaning of Christmas !!

Christmas lights ...and sick children !

Hello everyone ...iv been a bit slack on the blogging iv had sick kids now my 3 year old has come down with croup tonight .... steam and if all else  fails put her in the car since its a hot muggy summers night and take her out Christmas light looking like last night iv learnt over the years that bye the time you get to the hospital with them it has eased so normally a drive does it ... ...Tomorrow if all is well we are going to make gingerbread houses so that should be lots of fun it's something we have never done before ;-o  back to Christmas lights there is not many houses with them this year which is sad when the older children were little there would be so many houses with lights it was just beautiful to see and the children would get that excited but anyway we still go in search each year and even if we have to drive 15 km or more in between finding the odd house the kids still enjoy it ..and that's the main thing :-)
